BROWN SUGAR SAUCE
1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup water
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon butter (optional) or 1 teaspoon firm margarine (optional)
