Cola Bbq Sauce

   Take the bottle of BBQ sauce and pour it into a medium saucepan. Add the cola, chipotle pepper, garlic salt, cumin, balsamic salt, and Worcestershire sauce. Let it reduce for about 10 minutes on low heat. It will bubble a lot at the beginning as the soda cooks down. Add the onion and garlic. Let it reduce further until it becomes the consistency you like. It took me about 30 more minutes on low.

   The sauce started out very sweet straight out of the bottle. You would think the cola and balsamic salt would make it sweeter, but it really doesn't. The cumin gives it a hint of smokiness and chipotle has a nice burn at the very end.
