Clau Meyer Christmas Cookies

   Melt the butter, syrup, brown sugar and sugar gently in a saucepan until it becomes lukewarm.

   Getting the spices into the butter mixture and fold them good.

   Stir the flour into the butter mass with potaskevandet, almonds and orange peel - and pipe / knead it all together into a homogeneous dough without kneading too much.

   Roll dough into a sausage having a diameter of about 5 cm.

   Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and put it in the fridge for 2-3 hours or even better in the freezer for an hour or more.

   Cut thin slices and place them on a baking sheet with wax paper.

   Bake at 200 C until they are nicely brown without being too dark (about 6 minutes).
