1
First, preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
-
2
Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy clean up.
-
3
Grab your leftover bread and cut it into 1-inch cubes.
-
4
Try to make them as even as possible so that they all cook the same.
-
5
Put all the cubes into a large mixing bowl.
-
6
Melt your butter in the microwave.
-
7
It should take about 30 seconds for room temperature butter, then add the cinnamon sugar to the melted butter.
-
8
Stir until combined.
-
9
Add the butter/cinnamon sugar mix to the bread.
-
10
Pour it all over the cubes and then mix with a spatula until it is well-coated.
-
11
Once the cubes are coated, pour them onto the lined baking sheet and spread them out into a single layer.
-
12
Bake in the oven for about 10-15 minutes or until they begin to firm up and become light brown.
-
13
I usually check them after 7 minutes and move them around a bit with a spatula so there is even baking.
-
14
Once baked, let them cool and they will firm up a bit out of the oven.
-
15
Put them in a Ziploc bag and snack whenever the mood strikes.
-
16
Ours are usually gone within the hour!

Notes:
-
18
Feel free to experiment, use other kinds of sweet breads, or plain bread if you arent into raisins.
-
19
Add some extra spice, maybe a dash of nutmeg?
-
20
This is really kid-friendly and my kids enjoy adding the butter (with help!)

and mixing the cubes up.

I hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
