   Mix the honey and spices in a saucepan and bring up to a boil, then remove from heat and let cool. Meanwhile combine the fruit & nuts with a small amount of the sifted flour. Combine the remaining sifted flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt and sift again. Cream the softened butter with the sugar, then add the egg yolks one at a time and beat well. Alternatively add the sifted dry ingredients with the cooled honey and mix together well. Add the fruit & nuts and stir in well. Beat the egg whites until they are stiff then fold them into the batter. Pour the batter into a greased bundt pan and bake in a preheated 300 degree F oven for 1 1/2 hours.
