In a large bowl, mix sugar, butter, egg and vanilla until well blended.

In another bowl, mix dry ingredients. Add to butter mixture and blend until smooth. Divide into 3 equal portions in separate bowls. To mixture in bowl #1, add melted chocolate and blend until smooth.

In bowl #2, add almond extract and enough green food coloring to make it a Christmas green. Add finely chopped almonds. Mix well.

In bowl #3, add strawberry or raspberry extract and red food coloring for a Christmas red.

Line a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan with foil. Grease the foil. Spread the red dough evenly on the bottom. Refrigerate for 15 minutes to firm up. Remove from refrigerator and spread chocolate mixture on top of the red mixture. Refrigerate 15 minutes.

Spread green dough over the chocolate layer and refrigerate at least 2 hours.

Remove the dough and foil from the pan.

Cut the chilled loaf into 3 lengthwise logs. Cut each log into 1/4-inch slices.

Bake 2-inches apart on a lightly greased cookie sheet at 350u00b0 about 10 minutes. Cool on a rack.
