Preheat oven to 350 F.

In a large bowl using an electric mixer, cream together butter, sugar, brown sugar, Reese's spread and peanut butter. Once well combined add eggs and vanilla. Slowly mix in the flour, salt and baking soda. Fold in chocolate chips and M&M's. Scoop your preferred size balls of dough onto a parchment paper lined cookie sheet and space them about 2 inches apart. Slightly flatten the cookies.

Bake for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, coarsely chop the mini peanut butter cups.

Remove them from the oven. Immediately top each cookie with 4 or 5 pieces of chopped peanut butter cups and gently press them in. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes. Move cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.
