Chocolate Or Coconut Cream Pie

   Mix sugar, flour and salt.

   Scald milk.

   Add to sugar mixture a little at a time.

   Beat egg yolks, stir in some of the hot mixture then add both mixtures together.

   Cook on low heat until real thick.

   Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla.

   Add coconut. Beat egg whites until fluffy.

   Add 6 tablespoons sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla.

   Fold in 1/4 egg white mixture into pie and pour into baked pie shell.

    Top with remaining egg whites and bake until brown.
