preheat oven to 375 degrees. completely melt the butter either on the stove top of microwave. Mix together the melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla until smooth. Add in the flour, baking soda and salt. Add the eggs, and mix well. Add the toasted coconut, chips and nuts. Becareful not to over mix the nuts because they are oily and breakdown when mixed too much.

Using a tablespoon make generous rounded spoonfuls of the cookie dough and place them on a non greased cookie sheet. Bake the cookies for about 12-14 minutes. After taking the cookies out of the oven gently flatten each cookie with a spatula, allow cookies to cool for about 2 minutes on the cookies sheets and then transfer them to a wore rack to cool completely.
