1
Place butter, powdered sugar, cherry Schnapps, sweetened condensed milk, cherry vodka and salt into mixer.
-
2
Turn on mixer to a slow speed until some of the powdered sugar is mixed in with the other ingredients and then turn to a higher speed to prevent powdered sugar from flying everywhere.
-
3
Place a towel or plastic over the filling to keep it moist and set aside.
-
4
Drain cherries.
-
5
Lay cherries on a few paper towels to allow excess juice to drain.
-
6
Wrap cherries in the filling, rolling between hands to form a ball. Place them into a flat container that will fit in your fridge.
-
7
Place filling-wrapped cherries in fridge for about 15-20 minutes to chill. This makes them easier to dip.
-
8
Melt 2 pounds of a top quality chocolate over low heat in a double boiler or saucepan and then stir in a teaspoon of grated household wax for shine until fully combined and melted.
-
9
Set cherries on a fork, lower into the chocolate until fully coated and then gently tap over edge of the chocolate bowl to remove excess chocolate.
-
10
Use a knife to carefully slide the cordial off of the fork and onto parchment to allow the chocolate time to set.
-
11
Place in small foil candy paper cups, preferably red.
