bag of chocolate chips.

Cream butter and sugars till light and fluffy.

Add in vanilla, 1/2 tsp.

water and Large eggs; beat well.

Add in combined dry ingredients; mix well.

Stir in chips (chocolate or possibly chocolate and butterscotch).

Reserve 1 1/2 c. batter for topping.

Spread remaining batter into greased 13 x 9 inch baking pan.

Bake at 375 degrees for 13 to 15 min.

While baking first layer, heat caramels with water in saucepan over low heat.

Stir frequently till sauce is smooth.

Pour over crust.

Drop reserved batter by teaspoonfuls over caramel layer.

Continue baking 18 to 20 min.
