4 c. bread cubes
2 c. grated cheese
1/4 c. butter, melted
2 c. cooked asparagus
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 c. chicken broth
2 c. milk
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 chicken, cooked, boned, skinned and cut into bite size chunks

Mix bread cubes with grated cheese.

Pour 1/4 cup butter over and mix lightly.

Put 1/2 of mixture in baking dish.

Cook asparagus and set aside.

Place 1/4 cup butter in saucepan; melt. Add flour, salt and pepper; blend well.

Stir in milk and chicken broth and cook, stirring, until thickened and smooth.

Add chicken and lemon juice; blend well.

Place cooked asparagus over bread-cheese-butter mixture in dish.

Top with chicken in sauce. Sprinkle remaining bread cubes-cheese-butter over top.
