In a separate bowl, Beat together both sugars, peanut butter, and margarine until smooth.

Add egg and vanilla and beat until fluffy.

Drop rounded spoonfulls of batter onto prepared pan about 2 inches apart, flatten slightly with a fork, and bake one pan at a time in 350 degree oven until cookies just barely begin to brown at the edges, (they will still be very soft) about 10-12 minutes. Cool on pan for 5 minutes and then transfer to cooling rack to cool completely.
