1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 Tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. pecans
1 c. dates
1/2 c. maraschino cherries
2 1/2 c. cornflakes

Sift flour and soda.

Cream shortening and sugar.

Add eggs, milk and vanilla and beat well.

Blend in dry ingredients and mix thoroughly.

Add chopped pecans, dates and cherries and mix well. Shape into balls using teaspoonful of dough for each.

Crush cornflakes.

Roll each ball of dough in cornflakes and place on greased baking sheet.
