Cheese Straws From Alabama

   Grate cheese and mix with flour, salt, pepper and baking powder.

   Let butter soften and work into the mixture with your fingers.

   Shoot through a pastry gun or make into small balls and press them very flat with a fork or roll out to about 1/4-inch and cut with a small biscuit cutter.

   Top with a pecan. Bake at 300u00b0 to 350u00b0 for about 10 to 15 minutes, but be sure they are baked through.

   Sprinkle with paprika.
