Cheese Squares

   Butter bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan.

   Put 1 package crescent rolls on bottom of pan, patting serration together.

   Beat together cream cheese, 1 cup sugar, egg yolk and vanilla.

   Spread over rolls.

   Place second package of rolls on top of cheese mixture, pinching serration together.

   Beat egg white with a fork and spread over top layer of crescent rolls.

   Mix 1/2 cup sugar, cinnamon and almonds.

   Sprinkle over top.

   Bake 25 to 30 minutes at 350u00b0.

    Cut into squares and serve warm or cold.
