Saute onions and set aside.

Saute mushrooms briefly and set aside.

Combine flour pepper salt in a plastic bag.

Add beef chunks and shake bag until beef has a flour coating.

Remove beef and shake off excess flour.

Brown the beef in butter and oil mixture in small batches until slightly crispy.

Place the browned beef in a ovenproof casserole dish and add sauteed onions.

Combine the following ingredients and stir into the casserole.

wine, stock, herbs, mustard tomato puree and a pinch of sugar.Add a little extra boiling water to the casserole to barely cover the food.

Bake in 160c oven for 1hr 15min.
