Ingredients: 2 cup flour; 1 tsp baking powder; 1/2 tsp baking soda; 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg; 1/4 tsp ginger; 1 tsp cinnamon; 1/2 cup butter; 1 cup brown sugar; 1 egg; 1 cup grated carrot; 1 cup raisins; 1 cup chopped pecans or other nut

cream together butter and sugar until fluffy

add egg, mix well

sift together dry ingredients, add a little at a time to butter mixture

mix until well blended

add carrot, raisins, and nuts.

mix thoroughly

drop by teaspoonful onto greased cookie sheet

bake at 350F until golden, about 8 to 10 minutes
