Mix together 4 cups of the sugar, 2 cups cream and 1/2 stick butter or margarine and put on medium

Put 1 cup sugar in skillet and melt; then when the other mixture comes to a boil, pour in the melted sugar, stirring constantly.

As soon as the sugar (melted) is combined with the other mixture, add the 1/2 cup of milk and continue cooking until you can form a soft ball.

Add the marshmallows and continue stirring until melted, then remove from heat.

Add the vanilla and pecans and when cool, pour onto a buttered dish.

Cut when fully cooled.

More nuts may be used. This recipe makes a large amount of candy and can be easily halved.
