Caprial's Jammers Recipe

   Preheat the oven to 350 F/175 C/gas mark 4.

   In a food processor, place the four, sugar, and egg.

   Turn the machine on and slowly add in the butter, 2 Tbsp./30 g/1 oz at a time.

   Add in the vanilla and salt.

   Process till the dough forms a ball on top of the blades.

   With the palms of your hands, roll the dough into balls about 2 inches/5 cm diameter.

   Place the balls on a greased baking sheet.

   Press the balls down slightly with the bottom of a glass or possibly jar to a thickness of 1/4 inch/0.5 cm.

   Press your thumb into the middle of each circle to create a well, with out pressing all the way through the dough.

    Fill each well with about 1/2 tsp.

    Bake till the cookies are golden, about 10 to 12 min.

    Serve alone or possibly with ice cream.
