Spread a thin layer of rice on top of some cling film that is just a little smaller than the nori sheet.

Sprinkle on some sesame seeds and cover with a layer of saran wrap.

Flip everything over and stick a sheet of nori over the top of the rice.

Line up the smoked salmon, avocado and cream cheese at the bottom of the nori and roll everything together.

Roll the california roll whilst still wrapped.

Once the roll is closed securely, take away the saran wrap and cut the sushi roll with a wet knife to complete.
