Ingredients: 1 c. chopped onion; 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine; 2 c. shredded cabbage; 10 oz. frozen lima beans, cooked and drained; 1 c. sliced carrots; 1 c. diced potatoes; 1 c. chicken broth; 1/2 tsp. salt; 1/4 c. butter; 1/4 c. flour; 1/4 tsp. paprika; 1/4 tsp. pepper; 3 c. milk; 2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese (8 oz.)

1 c. chopped onion
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
2 c. shredded cabbage
10 oz. frozen lima beans, cooked and drained
1 c. sliced carrots
1 c. diced potatoes
1 c. chicken broth
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. paprika
1/4 tsp. pepper
3 c. milk
2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese (8 oz.)

Saute onion and butter until tender.

Add cabbage, lima beans, carrots, potatoes, broth and salt.

Cover and bring to boil. Simmer until vegetables are tender.

Melt 1/4 cup butter or margarine in 4 quart kettle.

Blend flour, pepper and paprika. Stir in milk and heat to boiling while stirring.

Boil and stir for 1 minute.

Remove from heat, stir in cheese until melted.

Add vegetables with their liquid to cheese soup base.
