All-purpose flour; 1 tsp Cinnamon; 1/8 tsp Salt; 1 x 9-inch unbaked pie shell (see note); 1/2 pkt (12-ounce) Nestle Toll House butterscotch flavored morsels; 1/4 c. Butter; 3/4 c. All-purpose flour; 1/8 tsp Salt Whipped cream or possibly ice cream (optional)

4 c. Pared, cored and sliced tart cooking apples
1 1/2 tsp Lemon juice
1/2 c. Sugar
1/4 c. All-purpose flour
1 tsp Cinnamon
1/8 tsp Salt
1 x 9-inch unbaked pie shell (see note)
1/2 pkt (12-ounce) Nestle Toll House butterscotch flavored morsels
1/4 c. Butter
3/4 c. All-purpose flour
1/8 tsp Salt Whipped cream or possibly ice cream (optional)

Filling: Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

In large bowl, combine apples and lemon juice; toss till well coated.

Stir in sugar, flour, cinnamon and salt; mix well.

Spoon into pie shell (see note).

Cover edges with aluminum foil.

Bake at 375 degrees for 20 min.

Topping: Combine over warm (not boiling) water, Nestle Toll House butterscotch flavored morsels and butter; stir till morsels are melted and mix is smooth.

Remove from heat.

Add in flour and salt; blend till mix forms large crumbs.

Remove foil from pie.

Crumble Topping over warm apples.

Bake at 375 degrees for 25 min longer.

Serve hot with whipped cream or possibly ice cream, if you like.

NOTE: If using frzn pie shell, it's necessary to use deep dish style, thawed.
