1.
-
2
Grill your chicken and season it as you normally do.
-
3
I grill mine in a skillet over medium heat for about 5 minutes per side (timing will depend on the size of the chicken breastsjust make sure the juices run clear).
-
4
Then remove it from the pan and shred it with two forks or chop it with a knife.
-
5
2.
-
6
Put the chicken into a small bowl and pour in 1/2 cup of hot sauce.
-
7
Mix until the chicken is completely covered in sauce.
-
8
3.
-
9
Preheat oven to 400 F. Take a large baking pan and grease it.
-
10
Open the can of pizza dough (I used Pillsbury) and roll it out on the pan using a rolling pin.
-
11
4.
-
12
Put the ranch dressing on one half of the pizza dough (leave a border around the edge without the dressing).
-
13
5.
-
14
Spread the chicken over the ranch dressing and cover the chicken with mozzarella cheese (this will still leave one half of the dough untouched).
-
15
6.
-
16
Fold the uncovered half of the dough over the chicken/cheese mixture and pinch around the edges to seal it.
-
17
7.
-
18
Use a tiny bit of olive oil on top of the sealed calzone and add a bit of seasoning to add flavor (I like Italian seasoning for this).
-
19
Using your fork, poke some holes in the top of the crust to let the steam out/ventilate.
-
20
Or use a knife and slit the top of the dough a bit.
-
21
8.
-
22
Bake at 400 F for about 17 minutes or until golden on top.
-
23
Keep a close eye on it every 5 minutes.
-
24
ALTERNATIVES: I have used BBQ sauce instead of hot sauce and it was amazing.
-
25
You can also use bleu cheese dressing rather than ranch!
-
26
You can also sub out fried chicken tenders instead of grilled.
-
27
No matter what you do, it is delicious!
-
28
Also, if youre feeding a big crowd, you can double the entire recipe and use the second pizza dough to cover the top one!

Ive done this before and it worked just fine!
