Ingredients: 1 stewed, deboned chicken; 3 strips bacon; 1 qt. tomatoes; 1 small can tomato sauce; 2 peeled, chopped potatoes; 1 chopped onion; 1 chopped bell pepper; 3 chopped carrots; several ears raw corn or cooked or 1 can creamed corn; 3 c. raw or cooked lima beans or 1 can lima beans; 1 tsp. salt; 1/4 tsp. pepper; red pepper if desired

1 stewed, deboned chicken
3 strips bacon
1 qt. tomatoes
1 small can tomato sauce
2 peeled, chopped potatoes
1 chopped onion
1 chopped bell pepper
3 chopped carrots
several ears raw corn or cooked or 1 can creamed corn
3 c. raw or cooked lima beans or 1 can lima beans
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
red pepper if desired

Stew the chicken.

Add all the vegetables and seasonings if using raw vegetables.

If using canned corn and lima beans do not add

Add about 2 cups water or more, canned tomatoes and the bacon.

Cook slowly for about 2 hours, stirring occasionally to keep from sticking.

If using cooked or canned corn and canned lima beans add them about 30 minutes before stew is finished.
