In a 3-quart saucepan, bring corn syrup and whipping cream to boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

Add chocolate; stir until melted. Set aside 2/3 cup of this chocolate sauce.

Add butter and sugar to the remaining sauce; stir until butter melts.
