3/4 c. sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking pwdr
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 c. whole Brazil nuts
2 Packages whole pitted dates
1 c. maraschino cherries, liquid removed and minced
3 Large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
Vegetable shortening or possibly butter for loaf pan

Sift together flour, sugar, baking pwdr and salt into a large bowl.

Add in the nuts, dates and cherries.

Mix well.

Beat the Large eggs with the vanilla and blend into the flour mix.

Pour into a 3x7 pan lined with greased parchment paper (wax paper can be substituted for the parchment paper).

Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 45-60 min.

Let cold briefly in pan, then turn out of pan and finish cooling on a rack.
