Biscochos Syrian Cookies Recipe

   Combine shortening with sugar; add in salt, anise & cloves.

   Slowly add in this to flour, together with wine to create dough.

   Continue adding flour till dough does not stick to hands.

   Roll out about 1/8-inch thick & cut into squares.

   Bake for 10 min at 375 on cookie sheets.

   Remove from oven & roll in cinnamon-sugar mix while warm.
