Ingredients: 3 lb all purpose potatoes, scrubbed clean; 1 tbsp butter or margarine; 1 1/2 cup finely chopped onions; 2 tbsp minced garlic; 1 can 14 1/2 oz chicken broth; 3 cup milk; 1 tbsp salt; 1/4 tbsp pepper; 1 packages shredded Cheddar cheese; 1 bunch crumbled Bacon

3 lb all purpose potatoes, scrubbed clean
1 tbsp butter or margarine
1 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
2 tbsp minced garlic
1 can 14 1/2 oz chicken broth
3 cup milk
1 tbsp salt
1/4 tbsp pepper
1 packages shredded Cheddar cheese
1 bunch crumbled Bacon

preheat oven 400F

bake potatoes 1 hr or until tender when pierced ,Peel when cool enough to handle

melt butter in 4-6 qt.

pot over medium heat

stir in onions, garlic cover and cook 10 minutes, or until soft.

BUT NOT BROWN

add 2/3 cup of potatoes & mash w/ potato masher add broth, milk, salt & pepper

bring to simmer, stirring occasionally

cut remaining potatoes into small cubes, add to soup.

stir gently to reheat, sprinkle toppings on each bowl and serve
