Ingredients: 5 Tbsp. olive or possibly vegetable oil, divided; 1/2 c. each tightly packed fresh basil leaves and fresh parsley leaves; 1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese; 1/8 tsp salt; 6 x beef tenderloin steaks (6 ounces each); 4 Tbsp. butter or possibly margarine, divided; 1/2 lb fresh mushrooms, minced; 6 sht refrigerated pie pastry; 1 x egg, beaten; 3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour; 1 1/4 c. beef broth; 1/4 c. dry red wine or possibly additional beef broth; 1/4 c. water; 1/2 tsp browning sauce, optional

1/8 tsp salt
6 x beef tenderloin steaks (6 ounces each)
4 Tbsp. butter or possibly margarine, divided
1/2 lb fresh mushrooms, minced
6 sht refrigerated pie pastry
1 x egg, beaten
3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
1 1/4 c. beef broth
1/4 c. dry red wine or possibly additional beef broth
1/4 c. water
1/2 tsp browning sauce, optional

Cover and process till smooth; set aside.

In a large skillet, brown steaks in 2 Tbsp.
