1
Turn your pan on medium high and let it get nice and hot.
-
2
Hot enough to brown the pork chops, but not burn them.
-
3
While you are waiting for your pan to heat up, sprinkle your pork chops with the steak seasoning (I use McCormicks).
-
4
Then slice your onions.
-
5
I like to cut them in rings and then in half.
-
6
Once youre done with the onions, place the seasoned pork chops in the pan.
-
7
The purpose of this is to just brown the outside of the pork chops, not cook them all the way through.
-
8
Once one side is brown, flip them.
-
9
When the last side has browned, take the pork chops out of the pan and set them aside.
-
10
Now comes the fun part.
-
11
Open the can of beer and carefully pour 1/2 the bottle in the pan.
-
12
Drink the rest.
-
13
If you are working with an open flame, you should remove the pan from the heat before adding the beer.
-
14
Once the beer is in the pan, scrape the little pieces of spice and pork chop that stuck to the bottom of the pan while you were browning them.
-
15
Then add the BBQ Sauce.
-
16
Give it a good stir.
-
17
Once it is all mixed together, put the pork chops back in the pan.
-
18
Take your sliced onions and place them on top.
-
19
Cover.
-
20
Now turn the stove down to low and let simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 hours, depending on how thick your pork chops are.
-
21
You can also use more than 4 pork chops.
-
22
Sometime I use 6.
-
23
I serve mine over rice.
