Preheat oven to 450 F. Grease the bottom and sides of a 9 inch spring form pan.To make crust, cream butter, sugar and vanilla.

For the filling, combine well the cream cheese and sugar.

Add the egg and vanilla; mix well.

Bake at 450 F. for 10 minutes, then 400 F. for 25 minutes.

Cool and carefully remove sides of pan.
