Basic Mayonnaise

   Take the egg out of the refrigerator and bring it to room temperature.

   Add the ingredients in a bowl and beat with a whisk until thickened.

   When the egg is mixed well, add vegetable oil a little at a time, by pouring in a thin thread.

   Beat the mixture really well.

   While mixing, add a few drops of vinegar and mix well.

   Add vegetable oil and mix even more.

   Repeat a couple of times.

   When the mixture becomes thick and opaque, add the sugar and mix well.
