Basic Brownie Mix Recipe

   In a large bowl combine sugar, flour, cocoa, baking pwdr, and salt.

   Cut butter in with a pastry blender till mix resembles cornmeal.

   Store fold in one large plastic bag or possibly package in 3-c. portions.

   (Mix should be measured firmly packed.)

   Mix made with butter or possibly margarine can be stored in freezer up to 4 months.

   Mix made with shortening can be stored in cupboard up to 6 months.

    Makes sufficient mix for 4 batches of brownies.
