Banana Cake

   Preheat the oven to 375u00b0.

   Combine butter and sugar until mixed.

   Add eggs, vanilla and bananas, beating with wire whisk. Add salt, baking soda, baking powder and finally flour.

   Mix until well blended.

   Stir in buttermilk, then walnuts, if desired.

   Bake at 375u00b0 until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
