Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F and coat the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish with the olive oil.

Bring a large pot of water with 2 tablespoons of salt to a boil.

Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions for al dente (about 10 minutes).

Mix the marinara, ricotta, 3/4 cup mozzarella, half of the Parmesan, 1/2 teaspoon salt and the basil together in a large bowl.

Add the pasta, gently folding it in to coat completely.

Pour the pasta mixture into the prepared baking dish, top it with the remaining cheeses (and more basil if you want).

Bake it for about 20 minutes, or until the baked ziti is bubbly and golden brown on top.
