Baked Chicken Dinner In One Pan

   Place vegetables in a roasting pan which has a tight-fitting cover and that will be large enough to accomodate the chicken (cut in half lengthwise).

   Place chicken halves over the vegetables. Sprinkle with salt and pepper; pour half and half over this; dot with butter.

   Cover tightly and bake at 350u00b0 for 1 hour or until you can pierce the thickest part of the chicken with a sharp fork. Uncover and place under broiler for 5 minutes or until golden brown.
