1 lb lean ground beef
1 onion, chopped
2 stalks celery, chopped
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
2 tablespoons ketchup
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 egg
3/4 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup shredded sharp processed American cheese

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Toast the bread until golden, then spread both sides of the toast lightly with butter.

Cut each piece into 3 pieces lengthwise and set aside.

In large skillet, cook beef with onion and celery until browned.

Repeat layers using remaining ingredients.

Pour egg mixture evenly over the layers in the dish.
