4 c. canned baked beans
1/2 c. ketchup
1/4 c. molasses
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
2 tsp. dry mustard
2 tsp. barbecue spice
1/2 tsp. m.s.g.
1/2 tsp. onion powder
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/4 tsp. black pepper
4 slices bacon

Mix all ingredients together, except bacon, in a heavy pot. Cut bacon into 1-inch pieces.

Place over top of beans.

Cover and set on back of grill.

Cook over a slow fire, stirring occasionally, for 45 minutes to 1 hour.

If you prefer, you may bake beans in an oven and keep hot on back of grill.
