Line cookie sheet with foil or use a size appropriate baking dish.

Using a food processor or mixer beat almond paste, buteer, 1/2 cup flour and almonds until well combined.

In a small bowl mix brown sugar, raisins and spice.

Set aside.

Core and peel apples.

Completely dust outside of apples with flour.

evenly press almond mixture into apples, making sure bottom hole is firmly covered with mixture.

When apple is covered, roll between palms to smooth out any seams.

Fill each apple cavity with sugar mixture and place in baking dish.

Bake 25-30 minutes or until apples are soft but not mushy, If apples are browning too quickly lay a piece of foil across top.

DO NOT fold foil around apples or they will steam and not bake.

Serve warm by themselves or dollop of whipped cream.
