1
For the donuts, mix yeast with flour and add butter, sugar, salt, and finally the egg and milk.
-
2
Knead by hand or in stand mixer.
-
3
Form a ball, put in a bowl, and let rest in a warm place covered with a cotton cloth for one hour (or until volume doubles).
-
4
Turn on the donut machine.
-
5
Grease hands with a little sunflower oil.
-
6
Take small pieces of dough and form a ball with each one.
-
7
Make a hole in the center with a finger.
-
8
Brush with oil and place these donuts on each machine slot to make donuts.
-
9
The holes should be covered, without letting any dough out.
-
10
Work quickly on second set as the first donuts will be almost ready.
-
11
Once all the holes are filled, close the machine and cook the donuts for 1 minute, or for 2 minutes maximum.
-
12
Place donuts on a rack to cool.
-
13
Prepare remaining donuts, until the dough is used.
-
14
For the powdered sugar icing, mix powdered sugar and water.
-
15
For the dark chocolate frosting, mix the sugar and water.
-
16
Melt chocolate in the microwave oven, stirring every 30 seconds and repeat steps until mixture is smooth and melted.
-
17
Pour the melted chocolate into the mixture of water and sugar and stir until completely blended.
-
18
For the white chocolate frosting, melt the white chocolate in the microwave (just like the dark chocolate frosting) and when it is ready, mix in a tablespoon of milk.
-
19
Dip the donuts one by one into desired frosting, only halfway, and make it turn on itself a bit so that it is well covered.
-
20
If desired, decorate with sprinkles before icing dries.
