Apple Squares

   Combine flour, brown sugar, 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in walnuts. Reserve 2 cups of crumb mixture. Press remainder into bottom of 9 x 13 pan. Combine cream cheese and milk; mix until well blended. Add remaining sugar (1/4 cup), egg and vanilla. Mix well. Pour in 9 x 13 pan over crumb crust. Top with chopped apples. Sprinkle with 2 cups of reserved crumb mixture. Bake in 350u00b0 oven for 30 minutes. Serve chilled or serve warm topped with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
