2 c. flour
1 1/3 c. sugar
3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. oleo (soft)
1/2 c. coconut
3 c. sliced apples
3/4 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. water
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. lemon juice
1 Tbsp. oleo

Sift flour, sugar and baking powder.

Cut in oleo.

Set aside. Save out 1 cup of mixture and mix with coconut.

Set aside.

Peel and slice apples and mix with cornstarch, 1/3 cup sugar, water, cinnamon and nutmeg.

Mix well and cook over medium heat for 3 or 4 minutes.

Stir constantly.

Remove from heat and add lemon juice and oleo; mix well.
