1
Add 1 cup white flour to 1 stick of softened butter and combine to form a dough by mashing together (or use a food processor). (Dough may or may not stick together to form a ball.)
2
Pat roughly half of dough into bottom of nine inch pie tin, and up sides, not too thick. DO NOT USE ALL OF DOUGH! SAVE SOME FOR THE TOP! This should leave between 1/3 and 1/2 of dough in pan in which dough was made.
3
For filling add apples, then add 1 cup white sugar, 1/2 cup brown sugar, nutmeg and cinnamon (to taste or try the suggested amounts), 2 tablespoons of white flour, then flake additional tablespoon of butter on top of filling so that it is roughly evenly distributed. (You can mix the ingedients of the filling together in a separate bowl for greater consistency.)

What remains is the topping. To what is left of the dough for the crust, add a tablespoon of white sugar, a tablespoon of brown sugar, and a tablespoon of flour, and mix together. This should form lumpy balls of dough that probably won't stick together well if you've mixed dough by hand. Sprinkle over top of pie with filling. Press down, and bake with nine inch pie tin on a cookie sheet at 350 degrees in pre-heated oven for forty-five minutes. Let cool, slice, and serve. Makes eight, somewhat small slices.
