1 1/2 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. baking pwdr
1/2 c. 1% low-fat lowfat milk
3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 c. unsweetened applesauce,chunky style see note

2 x egg whites
2 c. minced apples
1 c. cranberries fresh or possibly frzn
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp grnd cinnamon
1/4 tsp grnd nutmeg

2 Tbsp. margarine melted

Stir flour, sugar, and baking pwdr together in large mixing bowl.

Add in next 4 ingredients and beat with electric mixer on low speed till combined (30 seconds).

Beat on medium speed for 2 min, scraping sides of bowl frequently.

Add in Large eggs and beat 2 more min.

Stir in minced apples and cranberries.

Spoon into muffin pans till 3/4 full.

Spoon about 1 Tbsp.

Bake for 15-20 min till muffins test done.

Steel Topping: Blend the dry ingredients in a small bowl.

Drizzle with the melted margarine and blend with pastry blender or possibly fork.
