Al's Popcorn Balls Recipe

   In a large (about 14-inch) nonstick pan, heat butter over low heat.

   Add in marshmallows and heat them, stirring constantly.

   When melted, add in vanilla.

   Remove pan from heat and let cold 5 min.

   Pour marshmallow mix over popped corn.

   Stir to combine, using a large buttered meat fork.

   Let cold 5 min.

    Butter hands and shape mix into balls, about 4 inches in diameter.

    Let balls set up, about 20 min.

    They can then be wrapped in wax paper or possibly in resealable plastic bags.

    NOTES : Sprague makes these throughout the year but says they are particularly good for Halloween.

    Orange food coloring may be added.

    Caramels may also be added - just heat about 16 squares of caramel in with the marshmallow mix.

    If you add in caramel, however, you will need to add in another package of popped corn.
