A Quick Soup With A Whole Sweet Onion

   Peel the onions and carve a shallow X on the top of the onions.

   Cover with plastic wrap and microwave for 10 minutes (at 500 W).

   Mince the garlic and julienne the carrots.

   Cut the bacon into 1 cm strips.

   Melt butter in a pot and add the garlic.

   When fragrant, add the bacon and carrots.

   Add 600 ml of water, consomme and cooked onions.

   Cut out a sheet of aluminum foil into the size of the pot and place it on top of the onions.

   Simmer until the onions are very tender.

    Serve on a plate, and it's done!
