Zesty Spaghetti Carbonara

   Cook spaghetti as directed on package; drain, reserving 3 cups (750 mL) of the cooking water (or 2 Tbsp.

   [30 mL] of the water for trial recipe).

   Meanwhile, cook and stir bacon in large skillet on medium-high heat until it begins to soften.

   Add onions; cook until bacon is crisp, stirring occasionally.

   Drain; discard drippings.

   Wipe skillet clean.

   Add spaghetti to skillet along with bacon mixture and all remaining ingredients; mix lightly.

   Cook until cream cheese product is melted and mixture is well blended, stirring frequently and adding enough of the reserved pasta water until sauce is of desired consistency.
