Put rice in rice cooker. Add 3-4 drops of yellow food coloring and stir.

Put cloves and cardamon in 3 inch x 3 inch piece of cheese cloth or other cotton fabric and tie corners together with piece of string so that you make a little satchel. Bury satchel in the middle of the rice.

Add sugar, salt, raisins, butter or olive oil, cinnamon sticks, and water and stir.

Start rice cooker. Lift lid and stir about every 5 minutes until done.

When rice is almost done, toast nuts on the stove. Melt butter in pan, if using.

Once rice finishes cooking, remove the satchel, gently stir the rice, put in a serving dish and top with nuts and melted butter.
