White Moon Cake

   Sift flour once and measure; add baking powder and salt and sift 3 times.

   Cream butter and sugar thoroughly until fluffy. Add flour mixture alternately with milk, a little at a time.

   Beat after each addition until smooth.

   Add vanilla; fold in egg whites.

   Bake in greased 9-inch cake pans in a 325u00b0 oven for 15 minutes, then increase heat to 350u00b0 and bake 15 minutes longer.
